Welcome to Rugby!
by Elsie Davidson
Our Rugby Storefront location opened in June 2005 and took its first customer order on September 7. We have a very close team atmosphere in which everyone takes care of each other. We have a lot of fun and try to get everyone involved in the fun every day – which may have something to do with the fact that our beautifully remodeled office used to be a billiards parlor.
The town of Rugby was founded in 1886 at a junction on the Great Northern Railway. It was initially named after a famous railroad junction in England, and the railroad continues to be a local source of pride. Rugby’s beautiful Amtrak Railway station is on the National Registry of Historical buildings and features railroad memorabilia and pictures of steam locomotives.
The city of Rugby is truly the epitome of small town living in the Midwest. In fact, we are so “mid” that we have the distinction of being the geographical center of North America (monument pictured here).
